Nontachai Jitmuangnon and Kiamran Nabati are both aiming for the same destination, but they enter ONE Fight Night 46 on Prime Video from very different moments in their careers.
On Friday, August 14, surging Thai striker Nontachai looks to extend the best run of his ONE Championship career, while Nabati aims to rebound from the first loss of his professional run in a pivotal bantamweight Muay Thai clash at Bangkok’s historic Lumpinee Stadium.
The event airs live in U.S. primetime and is headlined by Stella “Always Hungry” Hemetsberger’s ONE Women’s Strawweight Muay Thai World Title defense against Natalia “Karelian Lynx” Diachkova.
For Nontachai, this is a chance to turn momentum into something bigger.
The Thai star has already experienced the harsh reality of the bantamweight Muay Thai division. Exactly a year ago, he suffered a quick knockout loss to Abdulla Dayakaev, a setback that could have derailed his rise. Instead, the 27-year-old responded with the best stretch of his ONE Championship career.
First, Nontachai returned to the win column against Soner Sen. Then, he battered Semih Sah Cindir with three knockdowns before earning a third-round TKO. Most recently, he followed that breakout performance with the biggest win of his career, defeating former two-time ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title challenger Felipe “Demolition Man” Lobo by unanimous decision at ONE Fight Night 43.
That victory proved Nontachai could handle a seasoned name under the U.S. primetime spotlight.
Now, he has an opportunity to do even more. A win over Nabati would give the Road to ONE: Thailand winner back-to-back victories over two of the division’s most respected names. More importantly, it could push him from dangerous rising threat into the World Title conversation.
But standing across from him will be one of the division’s most dangerous strikers, and a man with every reason to make a statement.
Nabati arrived in ONE with a perfect 18-0 professional record and quickly proved his hype was real. He picked up wins over Pongsiri PK Saenchai and Avatar PK Saenchai on the ONE Friday Fights weekly platform before producing his breakthrough moment against Suablack Tor Pran49.
In that high-stakes battle, the 31-year-old Russian knocked out the Thai standout in the first round to earn a six-figure contract and secure his place on ONE’s global roster.
He then carried that momentum into a massive matchup with former ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Hama, defeating the Thai legend to position himself as one of the division’s most feared names.
But this past May, Nabati finally met adversity.
In a thrilling main event of The Inner Circle 15 against Yod-IQ Or Pimolsri, the previously unbeaten striker suffered the first loss of his professional career by split decision. The result was narrow, competitive, and dramatic, but it still forced Nabati into unfamiliar territory.
Now, the Archangel Michael representative must show how an elite striker responds after perfection disappears.
That storyline becomes even more compelling because of what happened next. Yod-IQ, the man who gave Nabati the sole setback, has since earned a shot at ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon.
That shows just how close Nabati had come to the World Title picture. A statement victory over Nontachai could move him back toward that conversation.
Stylistically, the matchup promises drama. Nabati brings pressure, power, confidence, and a proven ability to damage world-class opposition. Even in defeat against Yod-IQ, he showed the durability and firepower that made him such a feared presence during his unbeaten run.
Nontachai, meanwhile, has found his rhythm again. He is aggressive, battle-tested, and now armed with the belief that comes from beating Lobo on one of ONE Championship’s biggest platforms.
On August 14, one of them could take a major step toward the World Title conversation at ONE Fight Night 46.
