Third-ranked ONE featherweight Muay Thai contender Shadow Singha Mawynn and dangerous Algerian striker Mohamed Younes Rabah are on a collision course for redemption after their electric first encounter ended in controversy.
The Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion and the Team Mehdi Zatout representative will settle their unfinished business in a featherweight Muay Thai rematch at ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Prime Video, which broadcasts live in U.S. primetime from Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, December 5.
If their first meeting at ONE Fight Night 33 this past July offered any indication, fight fans should brace for fireworks when these two warriors step into the ring again.
Their initial clash delivered nonstop action before an unfortunate eye poke halted the action prematurely, leaving both world-class athletes hungry to prove who deserves to stand above the other.
Shadow set the tone early with stinging thigh kicks to slow down his 28-year-old counterpart. He swung in with attacks to the inside and outside, which connected and troubled “The Eagle.”

Rabah responded with his usual speedy combinations upstairs, though, and even reminded the ranked contender that he had equal dynamite downstairs. “The Eagle” dug into the Thai’s shins with kicks that started to make him second-guess whenever he advanced.
Still, the 25-year-old Shadow marched forward and controlled the flow of the bout, backing him at every chance behind his kicks. The Singha Mawynn affiliate threw punch-elbow combinations into the mix, too, which rewarded him big time.
As Rabah attempted to land a left hook, Shadow side-stepped and found a home for a stiff right hand that sat his opponent down for the match’s lone knockdown – mere seconds before the end of the first bell.
The intensity only picked up in round two as both athletes wasted no time meeting in the middle of the ring to throw down.
Shadow stalked Rabah with his signature kicks and elbows. The Algerian entered the pocket ready to let his fists fly. However, less than a minute into the stanza, disaster struck.
The Thai accidentally poked Rabah in the eye while attempting to pull his guard down to create an opening. After thorough examinations by the ringside doctors, “The Eagle” couldn’t continue, and the referee declared the bout a no-contest.
The outcome left both fighters without the victory they desperately wanted.
Now, 147 days since their initial meeting, the two high-octane warriors get their chance to write a definitive ending to their saga at ONE Fight Night 38.
Shadow will look to prove his first-round knockdown was no fluke, while Rabah seeks redemption and validation that he can overcome the Thai’s striking arsenal.
The Singha Mawynn man has returned to action twice since, earning a US$50,000 performance bonus for his spinning backfist finish of #2-ranked contender Bampara Kouyate at ONE Fight Night 35 in September.
He suffered a unanimous decision loss in his short-notice ONE kickboxing debut just weeks after to Chinese standout “Spirit Dragon” Liu Mengyang.
The Algerian, meanwhile, has been waiting for his chance to hop back into action, as he seeks to add to his impressive promotional record that includes victories against former ONE World Title challenger Saemapetch Fairtex and Eddie Abasolo.
One thing is certain – with a no-contest sitting between them and unfinished business demanding resolution, neither athlete will leave anything to chance when they collide again inside the Thai capital on Friday, December 5.
