ONE Championship capped off 2025 with a heart-pounding spectacle that produced a shocking main event outcome, highlight-reel finishes, and exhilarating fights that went the full three rounds.
The final show of the calendar year, ONE Friday Fights 137: Tawanchai vs. Liu, took place inside the fabled walls of Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, this past Friday, December 19, and it provided one of the most unexpected moments in recent memory.
The highly anticipated main event between ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai and Chinese sensation âSpirit Dragonâ Liu Mengyang ended in surprising fashion.
Less than a minute into the featherweight kickboxing contest, Liu landed a low kick that struck the Thai megastarâs shin, and Tawanchai immediately sat down and couldnât continue the battle. The referee waved off the action, declaring Liu the winner via TKO.
In another showcase of elite striking, Thai living legend Sam-A Gaiyanghadao reminded the world why he is one of the best in the business.
The former two-sport, two-division ONE World Champion dropped his surging opponent Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi twice in round two of their strawweight Muay Thai tilt en route to a clear-cut unanimous decision victory.
Elsewhere on the card, Thai dynamo Yod-IQ Or Pimolsri and Iranian star Mohammad Siasarani earned well-deserved US$100,000 contracts with the worldâs largest martial arts organization after authoring spectacular knockout victories over Alexey Balyko and âSmokinâ Jo Nattawut, respectively.
