ONE Championship has added even more firepower to the card for ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Prime Video, which goes down live in U.S. primetime from Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, December 5.
Three more compelling bouts join the action-packed slate, including the explosive featherweight Muay Thai rematch between #3-ranked contender Shadow Singha Mawynn and “The Eagle” Mohamed Younes Rabah.
Plus, Thai-Malaysian striker Aliff Sor Dechapan faces 18-year-old Lebanese powerhouse Ramadan “The Scorpion” Ondash in a strawweight Muay Thai clash between young lions. Meanwhile, Brazilian juggernaut Lucas Gabriel locks horns with Russian standout Magomed Akaev in a pivotal lightweight MMA battle.
Shadow and Rabah’s first encounter at ONE Fight Night 33 this past July ended in a no contest after the Thai dynamo accidentally poked “The Eagle” in the eye. Yet moments before that, the Singha Mawynn product had already dropped the Algerian hard-hitter in the opening frame and set a fierce pace until fate intervened.
That temporarily halted Shadow’s momentum, as he established himself as a seemingly unstoppable force in ONE Championship’s featherweight Muay Thai division.
After falling short in his promotional debut in February 2024, the Thai stormed back with five straight victories, including a masterful performance over eight-time Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong.
Following the no contest with “The Eagle,” Shadow went toe-to-toe with #2-ranked Bampara Kouyate at ONE Fight Night 35 this past September and delivered a spectacular spinning backfist knockout in round two.
That victory reaffirmed his standing among the division’s elite.
After briefly switching to kickboxing, Shadow now returns to the “art of eight limbs” to close the chapter he and Rabah left unfinished.
For his part, Rabah is equally intent on proving his worth among the world’s best. The Algerian veteran has long been regarded as one of the most technical and aggressive strikers to emerge from North Africa.
After forging a heated rivalry with former ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title challenger Saemapetch Fairtex – where both men traded stoppage victories – Rabah moved up to the featherweight Muay Thai division and immediately made an impact, outpointing American sensation Eddie “Silky Smooth” Abasolo by unanimous decision.
That win led him to his first meeting with Shadow, and now, he has a chance to settle the score once and for all.
In another crucial showdown, Aliff and Ondash will collide in a bout that could determine the next challenger for ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai.
Both men burst onto the global stage through the ONE Friday Fights event series, clawing their way toward the top of the strawweight Muay Thai mountain.
But when they meet on December 5, only one will continue that ascent.
Aliff, one of Malaysia’s brightest stars, rattled off four straight wins – three by knockout – to earn a coveted six-figure contract and global roster spot.
Though he stumbled in his next two outings, dropping close decisions against former World Title challengers “Fighting Rooster” Zhang Peimian and “El Jefe” Ellis Badr Barboza, the Sor Dechapan representative quickly regained his form with another string of four victories.
Most recently, at ONE Fight Night 32 in June, he dominated Elmehdi “The Sniper” El Jamari to earn a unanimous decision. Following that win, he stood face-to-face with Prajanchai – a symbolic staredown that hinted at a future World Title showdown. But before that can even happen, Aliff must get past Ondash.
The Lebanese phenom may be just 18 years old, but he’s already one of 2025’s breakout stars. After racing to a 3-0 start in the weekly Asia primetime event series, he achieved his defining moment at ONE Friday Fights 114 in June when he squared off against Thai knockout artist Chartpayak Saksatoon, who entered the match on a seven-bout winning streak.
After trading knockdowns early, Ondash detonated a thunderous left hook in the second frame to claim a highlight-reel knockout victory, life-changing US$100,000 contract, and coveted spot on the global roster.
Armed with speed, precision, and a ruthless finishing instinct, his clash with Aliff could produce fireworks – and perhaps the division’s next top contender.
In addition to those fiery Muay Thai battles, Gabriel and Akaev will go head-to-head in lightweight MMA action.
Gabriel, known for his blend of crisp striking and slick grappling, went on an unblemished 3-0 run in ONE Friday Fights, including a submission win over previously unbeaten Gadzhimurad Amirzhanov via arm-triangle choke. Those performances elevated his career record to 9-1 and established him as a legitimate threat in the talent-rich lightweight MMA division.
However, following his no contest with Zhang Lipeng at ONE Fight Night 31 in May, the Brazilian seeks to restore his reputation with a statement-making victory.
Across the ring from him in Bangkok will be Akaev, who enters the lightweight MMA tilt with heavy expectations. The Dagestani contender compiled a spotless 10-0 record in Russia – with seven of those 10 wins coming via stoppage – before signing with the world’s largest martial arts organization.
In his promotional debut this past June, he went the distance with Ibragim Dauev, narrowly losing a split decision after a spirited three-round battle.
The result reignited his hunger, and now he aims to produce a marquee performance that could thrust his name into World Title contention.
