ONE Championship has just dropped a bombshell update for the already stacked ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri spectacle on November 16 at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena, elevating the massive card to legendary status with the addition of four explosive bouts.
The crown jewel of these additions is a vacant ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Title clash between former divisional king Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon and living legend Nong-O Hama.
This Thai-on-Thai super fight pits the most dominant force in flyweight Muay Thai history against the most dominant former ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion of all time.
For Rodtang, this bout marks his quest for career absolution. The 28-year-old striker was stripped of his flyweight belt in November 2024 for missing the demands of the scales. A rejuvenated Rodtang returned at ONE 172 in March with a performance for the ages against Takeru “Natural Born Krusher” Segawa.
In peak physical form, the Thai megastar needed just 80 seconds to annihilate the Japanese icon with a thunderous left hook. Now, “The Iron Man” stands one fight away from completing his redemption story, looking to reclaim the throne he once occupied.
Standing across from Rodtang is a revered Thai warrior whose seven consecutive ONE World Title defenses included five straight knockouts.
Nong-O has found new life at flyweight, most recently scoring a redemption victory over fourth-ranked Kongthoranee Sor Sommai at ONE Fight Night 31. After losing their first encounter, the 38-year-old veteran reminded everyone why he remains one of the most dangerous strikers in “the art of eight limbs” with a unanimous decision triumph.
Looking to add to his legacy, Nong-O seeks to conquer a second weight class and join the ranks of ONE’s prestigious two-division World Champions.
Adding even more firepower to the card is a highly anticipated rematch between two-division king Christian “The Warrior” Lee and undefeated Turkish sensation Alibeg Rasulov for the ONE Lightweight MMA World Title.
Lee has established himself as ONE Championship’s most dominant force. The Singaporean-American superstar captured both lightweight and welterweight crowns as the youngest-ever male MMA World Champion.
However, his December encounter with Rasulov at ONE Fight Night 26 ended frustratingly via no-contest after an accidental eye poke halted their war in round two. Lee was controlling the action, landing bigger shots and pushing forward relentlessly before the unfortunate incident led to an indecisive conclusion.
Now, the double champion seeks to erase any doubts against the dangerous Turkish grappler. Rasulov brings legitimate credentials, having dominated former lightweight king Ok Rae Yoon — who previously defeated Lee — with masterful wrestling at ONE Fight Night 23.
The Dagestan-bred destroyer’s pristine 14-0 record speaks to his elite pedigree, with unfinished business driving his relentless pursuit to finally capture Lee’s lightweight crown.
History will also be made when 10-time Muay Thai World Champion Nadaka battles surging Thai dynamo Numsurin Chor Ketwina for the inaugural ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Championship.
Nadaka, the only non-Thai to capture three Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Titles, raced to a perfect 3-0 start in the world’s largest martial arts organization, systematically breaking his opponents with overwhelming volume and speed.
His most recent performance at ONE Friday Fights 122 saw him demolish Hamada Azmani with explosive efficiency, scoring a TKO victory just 15 seconds into the third round.
Nadaka’s opponent, Numsurin, will be carrying the momentum of his perfect 6-0 record at ONE Friday Fights. The 30-year-old scrapper earned a lucrative six-figure contract after a hard-fought majority decision victory over Songchainoi Kiatsongrit at ONE Friday Fights 122.
This incredible stylistic clash between Nadaka’s surgical precision and Numsurin’s relentless pressure creates the perfect storm of technical mastery versus raw aggression for atomweight supremacy.
Completing this quartet of additions is a featherweight kickboxing war between kickboxing icon Marat Grigorian and former K-1 Super Lightweight Champion Rukiya Anpo.
Grigorian has carved out his legacy in ONE Championship through relentless forward aggression and devastating knockout power. His recent run has been spectacular, highlighted by brutal knockouts over longtime rival Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong at ONE 165 and Abdelali “Black Diamond” Zahidi at ONE Friday Fights 92.
Anpo, fighting on home soil, looks to make a spectacular impression in his ONE Championship debut by defeating an established star like Grigorian — a statement victory that could catapult him straight into immediate World Title contention.
