Sitthichai Sor Dechapan fought like a man with a point to make, and he settled the argument with a thunderclap in his flyweight Muay Thai battle against Arthur Evan at ONE Friday Fights 176.
The 22-year-old Thai launched a second-round head kick to stop the promotional newcomer in their co-main event matchup on Friday, October 30, which emanated live in Asia primetime from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

From the opening bell, Sitthichai flaunted his long-range arsenal, probing with teeps and jabs to dictate the distance. Evan had an answer ready, covering ground quickly and stepping in behind power crosses and elbows to erase the reach deficit.
As the round wore on, though, the Sor Dechapan product’s rapid-fire jab kept finding its mark and eventually split open a cut above the Frenchman’s eye. A tricky spinning elbow out of a duck-under then sealed the opening three minutes in his favor.
Searching for a fresh look in round two, Evan switched to a southpaw stance to get his offense going. Sitthichai brushed the change aside, battering the lead leg each time his 17-year-old foe swapped stances and catching his midsection with a well-timed jumping knee.

Outgunned from range, the debutant slowed the pace in the clinch, but Sitthichai bullied him backward and unloaded knees and punches to the ribs. Somehow, Evan stayed upright through the punishment.
With seconds left in the round, it looked like the teenager might survive to the final frame. Then Sitthichai went upstairs with a massive head kick that crumpled him. The referee caught Evan’s head just before it hit the canvas and waved off the contest at 2:56 of round two.
The explosive finish lifted Sitthichai’s slate to 69-27.
