Denkriangkrai Mavinn Muaythai showcased his poise to earn a unanimous decision victory over Valerii Strungari in their flyweight Muay Thai co-main event at ONE Friday Fights 148.
The bout lit up Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium and captivated fans watching around the world, live in Asia primetime on March 27.
Strungari pressed forward in the early goings of the contest with aggressive boxing, darting in with attacks at the body. The Thai took his foe’s best shots and alternated between knees and elbows to counter his opponent’s attacks.
The Moldovan found success with a heavy body shot in the second round, but the 27-year-old Denkriangkrai absorbed it without hesitation and fired back with a series of stabbing knees to the head and body that visibly hurt his opponent.

In the third round, the Team Mavinn Muaythai star opened up with his punch combinations in search of a finish, but Strungari’s durability kept him in the fight. The Team Mehdi Zatout representative refused to back down and pushed forward with knees and punches in bunches.
However, the more experienced Thai remained composed under pressure, landing cleaner counters with his trademark knees and short punches to control the exchanges down the stretch.
After three rounds of action, Denkriangkrai’s accuracy and damage output earned him the unanimous decision victory. The win marked his 62nd career triumph and extended his winning streak to five on the weekly spectacle.
