ONE Friday Fights 145 Featured Bout Result: Arman Moradi Outstrikes Otis Waghorn To Score Maiden Victory In ONE Championship

Iranian slugger Arman Moradi dropped British standout Otis Waghorn twice to earn a unanimous decision win in their bantamweight Muay Thai featured bout at ONE Friday Fights 145.

The clash, which marked Moradi’s first victory in the weekly series, aired live in Asia primetime on Friday, March 6, from Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium.

The 22-year-old pressed forward whenever he had the chance, while Waghorn stayed on the back foot and opted for a more calculated approach. Moradi’s three-punch combinations repeatedly found their mark, though the Brit responded at one point with a spinning elbow to halt the Iranian’s momentum.

Moradi maintained the same intensity in the second canto, and it paid off with two knockdowns in quick succession.

First, the Petchsaman Gym affiliate floored Waghorn with a crushing left hook. The Brit rose to his feet, but Moradi quickly swarmed again and dropped him a second time with a barrage of punches. The Assassins Gym and Tiger Muay Thai athlete managed to survive the scare and make it to the third round.

In the final stanza, Moradi showed more patience in launching his attacks but still landed his trademark power punches to keep Waghorn off balance.

After three rounds of action, the unanimous decision felt like a mere formality, as Moradi secured his first promotional win and improved his professional record to 22-7.
