ONE Friday Fights 125 delivered another martial arts masterpiece in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, September 19.
The 12-bout card featuring Muay Thai and MMA firefights saw hungry contenders put on a show, in search of a life-changing US$100,000 contract and a spot on the main roster.
Here’s how the main event and featured fight played out live in Asia primetime this week.
Elbrus “The Samurai” Osmanov’s move into Muay Thai paid off, as he outworked Saemapetch Fairtex to earn a unanimous decision.
The bantamweight war started fast, with both men letting their hands go and using footwork to keep each other off balance.
In round two, Osmanov broke through. He threw a high kick that missed when Saemapetch leaned back, but seconds later the Russian fired a three-punch combo capped by a right hand that dropped the Thai veteran.
Saemapetch got up and pushed hard in the last round, landing a clean left high kick. But Osmanov countered with elbows and an uppercut to send the Fairtex man to the canvas once more.
In the end, the ringside judges gave it to Osmanov, who moved to 14-1 with eight wins on ONE Friday Fights.

Kongchai Chanaidonmueang returned to form with a unanimous decision win over Walter “Iron Hands” Goncalves in strawweight Muay Thai.
The former Rajadamnern Stadium World Champion set the tone early, whipping left kicks into his rival’s legs and body. When Goncalves tried to catch them, Kongchai snapped back with quick punches upstairs.
In round two, the 22-year-old folded in knees and elbows, though the Brazilian showed his grit and variety in offense.
Kongchai roared back in the third and final round, storming forward and landing the cleaner shots when they traded elbows in the clinch.
When the dust settled, the scorecards leaned his way, pushing his record to 76-16.
