ONE Friday Fights 122 Results: Imangazaliev Earns Six-Figure Contract With KO Of Panpayak, Siasarani Nabs Another Win

Week after week, the ONE Friday Fights series delivers unimaginable outcomes – and the latest installment of the show dedicated to finding the next global superstar did not disappoint.

ONE Friday Fights 122 went down live in Asia primetime on August 29 from inside Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, where fans in attendance and those watching from around the world witnessed knockout victories and a contract-winning performance.

In case you missed any of the action, here’s what went down in the Thai capital.

Imangazaliev Annihilates Panpayak, Earns US$100,000 Contract

Undefeated Russian star Asadula Imangazaliev promised an explosive ending to his battle with “The Angel Warrior” Panpayak Jitmuangnon – but no one expected him to finish the legendary Thai the way he did.

At the start of their flyweight Muay Thai firefight, Imangazaliev traded calculated shots with Panpayak, tracking his much more experienced foe around the ring. Panpayak used his trademark left kicks to sting the side of Imangazaliev, but the latter seemed rather unfazed.

Chin tucked, pressing forward, the pride of Team Mehdi Zatout then backed Panpayak against the ropes. The Thai went to throw a left high kick. But before he could swing himself into the attack, Imangazaliev countered with a right high kick.

Panpayak fell and lay dangling from the ropes, and the referee jumped in to wave off the contest at the 2:07 mark of round one. With the victory, Imangazaliev improved to 10-0 and upped his resume on ONE Friday Fights to 6-0.

Imangazaliev’s fifth highlight-reel win on the global stage earned him a US$100,000 contract and a spot on ONE Championship’s global roster.

Siasarani Edges Siegert In Three-Round Thriller

Mohammad Siasarani bagged the 26th victory of his striking career and extended his win streak to three in a row after a hard-fought featherweight kickboxing clash with ONE newcomer Oskar “SugarGoku” Siegert.

Siasarani began by attacking with shovel hooks that ejected the air from Siegert’s lungs. The Polish fighter retaliated with kicks and knees, but none did enough damage to hold back the Team Mehdi Zatout fighter.

Midway through the battle, Siegert landed right hands on Siasarani, but the iron-chinned Iranian absorbed them all and kept pushing, kept attacking. Punches and kicks – they came from Siasarani at an unmatchable rate.

The intense output began to wear down Siasarani by the last leg of the fight, and that’s when Siegert stepped in with knee attacks. Lots of them. One after the next he drove them into his opponent’s rib cage and stomach.

Still, it wasn’t enough to sway the judges and Siasarani earned the unanimous decision.
