‘I Can Shock The World’ – George Jarvis Ready To Right His Wrongs Against Regian Eersel At The Inner Circle 33
The English challenger aims to correct his past mistakes and capture the ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Title.

The worst 84 seconds of George “G-Unit” Jarvis’ ONE Championship career have driven everything he has done since.
His initial challenge for Regian “The Immortal” Eersel’s ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Title ended in a first-round knockout last August, but Jarvis refused to let that early setback define his legacy.
The 26-year-old Englishman responded with a dominant decision victory over former title challenger Sinsamut “Aquaman” Klinmee before knocking out Rungrawee “Legatron” Sitsongpeenong. Those pivotal wins earned him another crack at the two-sport king in the main event of The Inner Circle 33 on Friday, October 2, which broadcasts live in Asia primetime from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, exclusively for members at live.onefc.com.
This time, Jarvis is not approaching Eersel as an unsolvable puzzle. He firmly believes their first encounter had far more to do with his own missteps. After a year of immense growth and two undeniable statement wins, “G-Unit” is determined to show that those errors will not be repeated.
Jarvis told onefc.com:
“In the first fight, Eersel obviously caught me very early in the first round. I’ll say this all the time, but it’s not like he did anything particularly well. I just did everything wrong. We learned a lot from that fight. I’ve gone back and studied it. I try not to watch it too much because I’m not the same fighter I was in that fight anymore.
“I’ve matured a lot. I’ve grown up a lot. I think the fans can see that. I’ve come back this year and proved myself. I’ve earned my shot, and I’m excited to show everyone what we already know – how good I am and that I can shock the world and take that belt.”
Jarvis believes those two comeback victories were necessary milestones before he could realistically consider stepping back into the ring with Eersel.
Sinsamut twice challenged “The Immortal” for Muay Thai gold, while Rungrawee went five hard rounds with the Surinamese superstar in a ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title clash earlier this year.
Therefore, Jarvis views his recent streak as more than simply restoring momentum. It provided him with the ideal opportunity to test his strategic adjustments against elite lightweight opposition before returning to the biggest challenge available.
He offered:
“This is actually what I wanted. I would never have wanted to come straight back and fight Regian after he beat me because physically and mentally, I needed to rebuild. I needed to put my new style to the test.
“But I’ve come back, I’ve beaten Sinsamut in good fashion, I’ve knocked out someone who went five rounds with Regian, and now I feel ready.”
The challenger also holds plenty of respect for the man he needs to overcome.
Eersel owns an incredible 14-1 promotional record and currently rules ONE’s lightweight Muay Thai and kickboxing divisions. His unmatched versatility has allowed him to thrive across both sports against a long list of world-class challengers.
However, Jarvis believes their contrasting striking backgrounds could become an important factor in the rematch.
“G-Unit” said:
“I’ve got a big target on Regian, but I’ve got respect for him as a champion. In my opinion, he’s still the pound-for-pound number one inside ONE Championship. He’s done everything that people can only dream of doing. He’s got all these belts in kickboxing and Muay Thai. He’s lost and come back and shown his level.
“He’s got a good style. He can fight kickboxing, he’s good with his hands, he can score with kicks, he can clinch. But what a lot of people don’t realize is that he is a kickboxer. He’s not a Muay Thai fighter in terms of having that traditional style.”
Jarvis Says Eersel Rematch Is ‘Me Versus Me’
For all the attention George Jarvis has paid to reigning two-sport ONE World Champion Regian Eersel, he believes the rematch will come down just as much to correcting his own mistakes as preparing for the defending champion’s weapons.
If he can successfully eliminate those errors and smoothly execute the approach he has carefully developed over the past year, Jarvis believes the final outcome can change dramatically.
He explained:
“When I fight Regian again, I’m not thinking about what Regian is doing. It’s what I need to change.
“It’s me versus me. If I can get what I need to get right, then there’s no one that can stop me. I know what needs to get done, and I promise you that will get done.”
Exactly how the victory comes matters far less to Jarvis than making sure he finally leaves the arena with the belt.
While he is not overly concerned with the exact method of victory, the heavy-handed Englishman will absolutely pounce if an opportunity to finish Eersel presents itself.
Jarvis concluded:
“My prediction is just a win. I don’t care if I win by knockout. I don’t care if I win on points. The main focus in this fight is just to get a win.
“If I hit him with a shot and I see him do the chicken dance, then that’s it. It’s game on. But really, for me, it’s just a win.”
