When two of Thailand’s most accomplished fighters in history speak, the world better listen.
ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon and former longtime ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Hama have both delivered the same message about their teammate Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon: that the 22-year-old Thai sensation is ready for the 26-pound gold.
Rambolek will put that confidence to the test when he faces dangerous Russian knockout artist Abdulla Dayakaev in a bantamweight Muay Thai clash at ONE Fight Night 39: Rambolek vs. Dayakaev on Prime Video.
The event will be broadcast live in U.S. primetime on Friday, January 23, from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The stakes couldn’t be higher. The winner could position himself as the next challenger for reigning ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nabil Anane, making this a crucial stepping stone on the path to World Title glory.
As the founder of Superbon Training Camp, the featherweight king has watched Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon develop into a legitimate contender, and he believes his prized pupil possesses the rare qualities that separate good fighters from great ones.
Speaking to onefc.com about his teammate’s journey, Superbon emphasized the intangible qualities that have impressed him most since Rambolek joined his gym:
“He’s a total grinder. He trains incredibly hard. What really impresses me is his ‘warrior spirit’. It’s something you can’t just teach. No matter how tough the task, he’s always game.
“He’s got that perfect mix of natural talent and pure hustle. You can see his progress getting better and better every single day.”
Rambolek is currently riding a four-fight winning streak into the ONE Fight Night 39 main event.
His most recent performance in September 2025 showcased his continued evolution, as Rambolek secured a phenomenal second-round TKO victory over Russia’s Dmitrii “The Silent Assassin” Kovtun.
Now, he will face his toughest test yet in Dayakaev — a 23-year-old Dagestan-born knockout artist who will bring his own four-fight winning streak into the contest, including an 8-1 promotional slate with six finishes.
Looking ahead, Superbon expects fireworks between two fighters who possess legitimate finishing power and aggressive mentalities:
“It’s going to be a banger. Abdulla is a dangerous guy with scary-good boxing, his hands are sharp and heavy.
“I’ve already given Rambolek the blueprint on how to handle high-level boxers like that. I’ve faced that style plenty of times, so I know exactly where the openings are. This fight definitely has KO potential for both sides. It’s going to be thrilling.”
Beyond the imminent threat of Dayakaev, Superbon has set ambitious goals for Rambolek in 2026, believing that his student possesses all the tools necessary to capture World Championship gold this year:
“I’m confident he has World Champion potential. If he puts on a dominant performance in this fight, he’s ready to challenge Nabil Anane for the title. My goal is to push him all the way to that belt within this year.”
Former longtime ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Hama brings unparalleled experience to Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon’s corner, and the legendary Thai striker has been impressed by what he’s witnessed over recent months.
Speaking about his teammate’s development, Nong-O highlighted the natural gifts that provide Rambolek with a strong foundation while acknowledging areas that continue to require refinement:
“Rambolek is naturally gifted. He has sharp weapons, heavy hands, and great ring vision. His personality is similar to Jojo [Johan Ghazali] — quiet, stays focused, and just goes home after training.
“My main focus with him has been building up his strength, stamina, and defense. Sometimes, when he faces more seasoned or sturdier opponents, he still has some gaps in his defense.”
Despite those defensive vulnerabilities, Nong-O emphasized that Rambolek’s confidence and mindset heading into the Dayakaev fight couldn’t be stronger.
The 22-year-old Thai sensation has made his World Championship ambitions crystal clear to his legendary coaches and training partners.
Nong-O explained:
“He’s very confident. Rambolek has made it clear: he wants the belt. His form is peaking, and his skills are already there. We’re just adding that extra boost of confidence and power. I believe he has what it takes to become a champion within 2026 if he puts on a great performance in this upcoming fight.”
Looking beyond the immediate challenge at ONE Fight Night 39, Nong-O believes a victory over Dayakaev would legitimately position Rambolek for a shot against current bantamweight Muay Thai king Nabil Anane, though he acknowledges the difficulty of that potential matchup.
The legendary Thai striker concluded:
“If he wins this fight, Rambolek definitely earns his spot in that conversation. Facing Nabil right now is a tall order because Nabil is on fire, but in the world of Muay Thai, anything can happen.”
