The world’s largest martial arts organization returns to Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, October 24, for another action-packed installment of its weekly Asia primetime event series.
ONE Friday Fights 130 features 12 thrilling matchups across Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA, with numerous athletes hunting for a life-changing US$100,000 contract and spot on ONE Championship’s main roster.
In the headline attraction, already-contracted Thai star Nontachai Jitmuangnon faces Turkey’s Soner Sen in a bantamweight Muay Thai clash between two fighters whose journeys embody the transformative power of martial arts.
The 26-year-old Nontachai is 50-22 in the striking arts but didn’t initially love Muay Thai. In fact, he used training as an excuse to play online games at a nearby internet cafe. But when his father showed up to the gym to watch him train one day, Nontachai wasn’t there and had to rush to do pad work.
That moment changed everything. He fell in love with the sport and became even more inspired after moving to Bangkok and witnessing the dedication of his elite teammates at Jitmuangnon Gym. The 2023 Road to ONE: Thailand winner now represents his camp with pride.
Standing across from him will be 29-year-old “Golden Boy” Sen. The athlete with a 24-11 record has an equally powerful story. Starting Muay Thai as an overweight kid, Sen found the confidence that completely changed his life.
Now a multiple-time national champion with over 200 fights, the Turkish striker has dedicated his life to becoming the best Muay Thai fighter in the world.
In the co-main event, another contracted powerhouse Songchainoi Kiatsongrit squares off with Myanmar’s Salai Htan Khee Shein in an atomweight Muay Thai battle between explosive strikers.
The 25-year-old Songchainoi recently had his nine-fight winning streak snapped, losing out on a shot at the inaugural ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Title at ONE 173 on November 16 in Tokyo, Japan. This makes him hungrier than ever for redemption.
He’ll put his 59-19 record on the line against the 21-year-old Salai Htan Khee Shein. The athlete with an 11-2 striking slate is the eldest son of a six-member farming family from Myanmar. After helping with farm work from a young age, Salai Htan Khee Shein started boxing at 12 and fell in love with martial arts. He moved to Yangon to pursue Lethwei, choosing this path to provide for his big family who struggle to feed themselves daily.
Now inspired by his fellow Myanmar fighters’ success in ONE Championship, Salai Htan Khee Shein wants to build a name for himself and his family.
Also featured on the card, Sonrak Fairtex faces Yamin PK Saenchai in a 137-pound Muay Thai rematch that promises fireworks.
The 28-year-old Sonrak is 69-24 in the striking arts and grew up near the Thailand-Myanmar border. After losing his father at 15 and watching his mother remarry and move to Cambodia, the Myanmar-born striker used his ONE Championship bonus money to build a house in Laos where his family can reunite.
Meanwhile, Yamin returned to fighting at age 19 after his family went bankrupt. After ONE Friday Fights launched, the 29-year-old seized the opportunity and began competing on the weekly platform. He extended his record to 84-27 and built a small Muay Thai gym for children in Chonburi with his first bonus earnings.
In lightweight Muay Thai action, undefeated New Zealand sensation Titus Proctor puts his perfect 20-0 record on the line against China’s Liu Quan.
The 21-year-old Proctor is a “Maori Terminator” with dynamite in his fists and 14 knockouts to his name. Born into a broken family with no mother or father in his life, he was raised in foster care in Auckland and Hamilton. After a troubled youth, Proctor channeled his energy into Muay Thai and never looked back. His devastating left hooks have become his signature weapon.
The card also features the promotional debut of Saensak Supergirl Jaroonsak, a promising protege from the renowned Supergirl Jaroonsak gym, who faces undefeated Swede Linus Bylander in bantamweight Muay Thai action.
In a highly anticipated 113-pound Muay Thai rematch, Tubtimthong Sor Jor Lekmuangnon faces Khunsuk Mor Krungthepthonburi after the former claimed a points victory in their first encounter. Both fighters have earned multiple knockout bonuses and will look to settle the score decisively.
Additional bouts showcase talent from Japan, the United Kingdom, Uruguay, Laos, and Russia, highlighting ONE Championship’s truly global reach.
