Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 121 On August 22

The world’s largest martial arts organization returns to the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on August 22 for another explosive installment of its weekly event series.

ONE Friday Fights 121 will broadcast live from the legendary venue in Asia primetime. There, two dozen athletes across Muay Thai and MMA will vie for a life-changing US$100,000 contract and a spot on ONE Championship’s main roster.

In the lightweight Muay Thai main event, Thai veteran Tengnueng Fairtex will face Russian standout Maksim Bakhtin in a compelling clash of experience versus youth. The 32-year-old Tengnueng owns a fearsome reputation and hasn’t tasted defeat since 2018, with his powerful left body kick and clubbing left hand making him one of the most dangerous finishers in the division.

The 22-year-old Bakhtin, on the other hand, brings an unorthodox style and perfect professional slate to this pivotal contest. The three-time Russian Amateur National Champion’s disciplined approach and unpredictable striking have served him well, and he believes this opportunity represents his life’s dream. This generational clash promises fireworks as both fighters hunt for the contract that could change everything.

The co-main event features a compelling strawweight Muay Thai showdown between Thai legend Chokpreecha PK Saenchai and Myanmar sensation Thway Lin Htet. The 34-year-old Chokpreecha, a two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion, returned to competition after a six-year break with dreams of providing better education for his two daughters.

Thway Lin Htet brings youth and momentum to the contest. The 22-year-old lethwei specialist started training at 15 with dreams of becoming famous, and his relentless pressure fighting style has made him a fan favorite. Before joining ONE, he was undefeated in lethwei competition, showcasing the devastating power that has carried over to his Muay Thai success. This cross-cultural battle promises to be a striking masterclass.

In featured 130-pound Muay Thai action, undefeated British-Pakistani sensation Ubaid “Bad” Hussain will run back his previous encounter with Thai veteran Petnakian Sor Nakian in an explosive rematch. The 19-year-old Hussain won their first meeting by unanimous decision.

Petnakian seeks redemption in this pivotal rematch. Inspired by his idol Seksan Or Kwanmuang and driven by dreams of opening a Muay Thai gym, the Thai veteran has the technical skills and experience needed to turn the tables. Both fighters possess the finishing ability and hunger that could steal the show.

The card also features compelling flyweight Muay Thai action as Thailand’s Pettonglor Sitluangpeenumfon takes on Japan’s Shimon Yoshinari. Shimon, the Road to ONE: Japan winner, has looked impressive in his recent victories and represents the next generation of Japanese Muay Thai talent.

Additionally, the evening kicks off with MMA action as Brazil’s Jean Carlos Pereira faces Ireland’s Sheagh “Dangerous” Dobbin in lightweight competition, highlighting the international depth of talent competing for their shot at ONE Championship stardom.

The diverse lineup promises non-stop action across multiple martial arts disciplines, with each fighter hungry to secure their place on ONE’s main roster.
