English striker Mia “Her” Trevorrow has accomplished a great deal in a short amount of time, and she shows no signs of slowing down.
The 27-year-old will attempt to make it three wins in a row on the global stage when she faces Sheila “La Chinita” Barrios in an atomweight Muay Thai clash at The Inner Circle 33 on Friday, October 2. Trevorrow has looked every bit impressive in her triumphant outings against Kokoz and Magdalena “Meggy” Pircher earlier this year. As she gears up for her highly anticipated return, here are five things you need to know about the Cornwall native.
#1 Trevorrow Was A Late Starter In Muay Thai
Unlike some of the world-class athletes competing under the ONE Championship banner, Trevorrow did not discover Muay Thai until adulthood.
She picked up the sport in 2020, at 21 years old, during a genuinely difficult period in her life. It was her childhood friend, former ONE Championship star Amber Kitchen, who first pointed her toward it. Kitchen bought her a pair of gloves, left them on her doorstep, and encouraged her to come down to the gym.
Trevorrow hasn’t looked back since. Within a few short years, she claimed both an ISKA British Title and a WRSA Muay Thai Championship, eventually climbing all the way to the number one ranking in the United Kingdom.

#2 Trevorrow Is A Former Competitive Swimmer
Long before she was throwing punches inside the ring, Trevorrow’s battles played out underwater, measured in strokes and splits rather than strikes.
That competitive swimming background shaped her long before “the art of eight limbs” entered the picture, and she occasionally still coaches young swimmers today, passing on the same discipline and drive that once defined her own athletic journey.

Trevorrow’s ultimate goal is clear: to hoist the ONE Women’s Atomweight Muay Thai World Title in the air and become the first British woman to claim gold in the promotion.
Getting there, however, is a journey she is determined to take one step at a time.
The MASDA Gym Liverpool representative has previously said she would welcome a fight against former three-sport World Champion Stamp Fairtex along the way, before eventually working her way toward reigning divisional queen Allycia Hellen Rodrigues.
A win over Barrios at The Inner Circle 33 would mark another step in that direction, pushing her closer to the coveted US$100,000 main roster contract and, in time, a genuine opportunity to share the ring with the very best the organization has to offer.
