Former two-time Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Kongthoranee Sor Sommai follows Panpayak’s lead, stepping into unfamiliar terrain to reignite his pursuit of 26 pounds of gold.
Kongthoranee earned his coveted six-figure contract with a remarkable seven-fight winning streak, highlighted by impressive victories over Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi, Nakrob Fairtex, and former ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Hama.
However, the 29-year-old standout subsequently dropped four consecutive high-stakes battles, most recently coming up short in his trilogy contest against Nong-O.
Eager for a fresh start, Kongthoranee takes his masterful counter-striking instincts into flyweight kickboxing — but there is no easing in. Awaiting him is surging 23-year-old Chinese phenom Yuan Pengjie, who carries an electrifying 40-4 overall record into this clash.
