3 Bouts That Could Steal The Show At ONE Fight Night 45: Lessei Vs. Rabah On Prime Video

ONE Fight Night 45: Lessei vs. Rabah on Prime Video will deliver an unforgettable night of martial arts inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Topping the organization’s latest American primetime spectacle this Friday, July 17, is a high-stakes featherweight Muay Thai showdown between Luke “The Chef” Lessei and “The Eagle” Mohamed Younes Rabah.

The card is loaded with eight additional fights across MMA and Muay Thai, too, giving fans a night filled with high-stakes battles, intriguing stylistic clashes, and plenty of stars looking to make a statement on the global stage.

Among that stacked lineup, three bouts in particular stand out as genuine show-stealers. Here they are.

#1 Suablack Vs. Stephen Irvine

Thailand’s Suablack Tor Pran49 and Scotsman Stephen “El Matador” Irvine collide in a flyweight Muay Thai battle that will deliver fireworks from the very first exchange.

The Thai slugger made his name with an electric start on the global stage, reeling off six consecutive wins, including four straight finishes, built on an aggressive approach that made him must-watch viewing from the moment he arrived. Part of that destructive potential traces back to a physique that looks like it was engineered for exactly this kind of battle.

Unfortunately, that momentum hit a snag, and he heads into this fight after dropping a first-round knockout loss to undefeated Japanese star Hyu “Mister Pepper” in their kickboxing clash at ONE Fight Night 41. Now fully recharged, he has every intention of reminding the division why he was must-see television in the first place.

Standing across from him is a man chasing that same kind of six-fight run of his own. Irvine carved out an outstanding 7-1 record through the challenging ONE Friday Fights circuit, before a spectacular first-round finish of Rambong Sor Therapat sealed his US$100,000 main roster contract.

That pedigree has “El Matador” arriving with genuine confidence that his skill set translates seamlessly to the world’s biggest stage, and at 26 years old, every outing in ONE has sharpened him further into the finished product he believes he already is.

This matchup will undeniably produce a scrap for fans who love nothing more than high-octane Muay Thai delivered at a frantic pace from bell to bell.

#2 Black Panther Vs. Sean Climaco

Another flyweight Muay Thai firecracker has all the makings of a classic when Thai dynamo Black Panther collides with Filipino-American standout Sean “The One” Climaco.

The Thai’s rise did not come easily. After a difficult promotional debut, the Team Mehdi Zatout product has since rattled off five consecutive victories, including a head-kick finish of Ali Saldoev and a second-round stoppage of Johan “Panda Kick” Estupinan.

That kind of adaptability has become part of what makes him such a difficult stylistic puzzle. Equally comfortable countering off the back foot or forcing the pace behind heavy hands and elbows, he has built a reputation for finding finishes regardless of the gameplan an opponent brings.

He enters this fight with an 81-17 slate, looking every bit like a fighter who belongs among the flyweight ranks’ best – a status Climaco has every intention of testing.

“The One” has experienced both ends of the win-loss column through his first four promotional outings, most recently suffering a unanimous decision setback to Black Panther’s teammate, Akif “King” Guluzada.  The 32-year-old enters this bout eager to snap back into form and remind the division exactly why he remains a live threat to anyone across the ring from him.

With one man looking to extend a hot streak and the other desperate to correct course, neither will settle for a cautious, feeling-out affair. This is another matchup destined to reward fans who crave non-stop action.

#3 Lito Adiwang Vs. Antonio Cesar

Fan favorite Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang steps back into action on short notice, and the Filipino star has no intention of slowing down.

Since bidding farewell to the strawweight division, the Soma Fight Club warrior has looked like an entirely different animal. His flyweight debut produced a first-round TKO against Mauro Mastromarini. Then, he tested himself up at bantamweight against Eko Roni Saputra at ONE Fight Night 43, storming forward behind heavy hooks to force an even more emphatic stoppage in just 34 seconds.

Now riding 18 career wins and a staggering 78 percent finishing rate, the 33-year-old has turned himself into a legitimate threat, regardless of which division he steps into. Another statement performance here would push his winning streak to three and add serious weight to his case for a shot at flyweight MMA gold.

Looking to halt Adiwang’s momentum is a red-hot newcomer, Antonio “The Flash” Cesar. The 22-year-old arrives on the global stage unbeaten in his last eight outings, a run capped by back-to-back submission finishes.

Beating the Filipino in his first promotional appearance would announce his arrival in the most explosive fashion imaginable, giving the division a new name to watch overnight. For Adiwang, though, delivering another statement finish would serve as fuel to an impressive streak and keep him firmly in the ONE Flyweight MMA World Title conversation.
